Interim HealthCare can care for you or your loved ones in the comfort of your home.  Our team of healthcare professionals will work with you and your physician to develop a plan of care that meets your individual needs.  Our team includes home health nurses, home health aides, physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists and medical social workers. 

Home Health Nurses

Dedicated and experienced registered nurses make home visits to provide services ordered by your doctor.  Their services may include, but are not limited to:

Ø                   Maintenance and replacement of catheters

Ø                   Ostomy care

Home Health Aides

Home health aides supplement your nurse’s care by helping you with daily personal tasks.  Your certified home health aide can assist you with:

Ø                   Simple prescribed exercises

Ø                   Meal preparation

Ø                   Light housekeeping

Ø                   Personal care such as bathing, dressing and shampooing your hair

Private Duty 

Interim HealthCare offers a service called Private Duty, which helps you maintain your independence through non-medical assistance with various day-to-day needs including:

Ø                   Transportation

Ø                   Companionship

Ø                   Home-helper

Ø                   Personal care (bath)

Ø                   Meal preparation

Ø                   Medication management

Ø                   Live-in services

Ø                   Overnight care

These services are provided 24 hours a day, seven days a week by a trained and carefully selected caregiver.  We offer flexible scheduling based on your needs and will work with you to develop an individualized care plan that is affordable and beneficial.

Therapy and Rehabilitation

The road to recovery often includes regaining skills and function lost due to accidents, stroke or other illnesses.  Therapy is available through Interim HealthCare to help you regain those lost skills and sometimes something even more important… your independence.

Physical Therapy

Our licensed physical therapists can design a program you can use at home to speed your recovery.  They can help you increase your level of function by providing:

Ø                   Therapeutic exercise

Ø                   Home exercise programs

Ø                   Home adaptation

Ø                   Gait training

Ø                   Transfer training

Occupational Therapy 

Occupational therapy uses goal-directed activity to evaluate and treat people whose ability to function has been impaired by normal aging, illness, injury or developmental disability.  Our therapists can teach you new different ways to carry out daily tasks such as dressing and cooking.  Occupational therapists can assist you with:

Ø                   Education and retraining in daily living skills

Ø                   Splints and adaptive equipment

Ø                   Adaptations for vision or hearing loss

Ø                   Home environmental design adaptation

Ø                   Activities to improve memory, planning and self-management skills

Speech-Language Pathology

Helping you communicate effectively and swallow safely is the role of your speech-language pathologist.  If you have a speech, language or swallowing problem, our pathologist will work with you to improve your skill so you can relate to the outside world with confidence.  They will work with you to:

Ø                   Develop oral and written communication skills

Ø                   Correct or adapt to swallowing disorders

Ø                   Help your family understand your communication problem

Medical Social Services

Our master’s-prepared medical social workers can provide counseling to help you and your family adjust to emotional, social or personal changes associated with your illness.  We can help you and your family with making arrangements for other community resources to assist you in your home.  Examples of these resources can include home-delivered meals or transportation.
